Commands and Protocols — Sit Command

The House Boy is required to learn and obey a variety of basic commands and protocols. One of these is the Sit Command, which may be given either indoors or outside, either at home when the House Boy is naked or away while he is clothed. When a Sit Command is given indoors, the House Boy is required to properly seat himself on the nearest chair or suitable furniture with hands on the armrests or at his side, unless he doesn’t have Permission To Use Furniture (See below, Rule #187), in which case he gently seats himself upon the floor or carpeting.

When a Sit Command is given at any outdoor location, the House Boy is required to immediately seat himself at his present location, unless the command itself articulates additional instructions such as where or how to be seated. Examples of additional instructions include the phrase 'Sit on the Boulder’ or the word 'Sit’ accompanied by a hand signal pointing at a park bench or other suitable seating location.

When a Sit Command is given outdoors with no additional instructions, the House Boy must immediately seat himself facing Master, regardless of circumstance. His buttocks should make contact with the ground or other surface like the sidewalk or grassy lawn, and he should keep both legs spread sufficiently that he does not improperly conceal his genital area, even when he is clothed and away from home. His legs may be bent at the knees and his arms should be at his sides. Alternatively, he may place both hands under his butt cheeks to cushion this area from direct contact with the ground. Special safety protocol applies any time a Sit Command is made near or at the ocean, and requires the House Boy to seat himself facing towards the water so he can see any approaching waves.

The Sit Command most commonly precedes either a Stay Command or an activity involving the boy’s face or scalp — like a mouth or ear inspection — but may be followed by any command or instruction. When told to Sit as a demonstration command, this instruction may be preceded and followed by one or a series of pointless other commands like ‘Stand’, ‘Turn Around’, 'Kneel’, ‘Squat’, ‘Jump’ or even another Sit Command to show that the House Boy is obedient and attentive. Violation for failure to properly execute demonstration commands is usually limited to a single swat bare hand Level One Spanking upon the buttocks for each instruction missed - or a verbal warning at Master’s discretion — although Master’s right to Dealing With Resistance (See below, Rule #322) does allow the use of forced compliance when appropriate. 

The House Boy is subject to a Hands Inspection or Buttocks Inspection and the possibility of Spot Cleaning if necessary following any Sit Command which is given outdoors. Nothing in this rule grants the House Boy any right to privacy nor restricts anyone else’s Right To Observe And Comment (See below, Rule #191) during a Sit Command or any other activity, regardless of who may be nearby and could observe.
