Commands and Protocols — Report Position
When the House Boy is summoned verbally or by any other means including hand signals, his response should always be to assume the Report Position and wait for further instructions. This position will also be used when reporting to others whether on or off the property — regardless of whether the House Boy is naked or clothed — including guests at Master’s pool and backyard parties or when away at beach outings and other events where the House Boy is traveling with Master.
Protocol calls for the House Boy to report promptly, and stand relaxed with his feet under his nipples or shoulders and his arms at his side. A neutral expression is appropriate for the Report Position as is the acknowledgment ”Yes, Master” or “Yes, Sir” (or “Yes, Ma’am” when addressing a female) unless previously excused.
The Naked House Boy is subject to a Body Part or Full Body Inspection while in the Report Position if something amiss is observed or reported about his posture or gait (or when an inspection was previously scheduled), and he must obey any instructions to Turn Around or otherwise Present Or Display any body part for visual, physical, or functional evaluation. An At Ease or Dismissed Command most commonly follows the Report Position, but may be expressed informally as You May Go, Carry On or Proceed.
in the example photo, a House Boy who has been working in the back yard is verbally summoned to the back porch to be notified that guests will be arriving shortly. The House Boy assumes the proper stance, and will come inside to prepare for arrival of visitors once he has been visually inspected for cleanliness and advised of the details of the visit. Master may also order a Spot Cleaning before entry (See below, Rule #57) if the House Boy has become dirty while working outdoors.
