The House Boy, whether clothed where required or naked when permitted, is responsible for resolving all parking issues when traveling with or at the direction of Master, including feeding of parking meters, paying or arranging to pay any fees or fines, locating available spaces either manually or using apps when available, and paying bridge and highway tolls either as needed or by app or device, making use of a provided credit card, physical pass and/or small change to facilitate these duties before, during and after travel away from home.
In the example photo, we see a Naked House Boy feeding a parking meter in the Castro District of San Francisco prior to a dinner outing over a decade ago. The House Boy is naked because non-sexual public nudity used to be legal in San Francisco, even on the public sidewalks and streets. Sadly, everything changed in 2012 after complaints — led by a public official named Weiner — caused a law to be passed banning simple public nudity citywide except for a few special events like the World Naked Bike Ride and Bare to Breakers Marathon.
The House Boy is never required to be naked at any place where nudity isn’t legal or traditional, and the tradition for parking in San Francisco has now changed. For future outings the House Biy would be issued at least Minimal Clothing (Rule #111) to comply with local dress codes, though the old photo allows us to take a fond peekaboo back in time… to an era when the House Boy could remain naked for all to see.. before Weiner’s weiners covered up all the weiners… in the City By The Bay.
