Rule #268 - - Lap Swimming
Exercise & Fitness — Lap Swimming
The Naked House Boy is assigned a personalized exercise regimen tailored to his individual physical condition, taking into account his age, weight, current health and fitness, and pre-collaring exercise history. Most House Boys are required to do Water Exercises (Rule #264) as part of their fitness schedule, and some House Boys may be assigned Lap Swimming as an enhancement or substitute for conventional exercises.
Lap Swimming may be assigned as a solo exercise or scheduled as a pair or group activity with others and takes place in Master's pool at the assigned day and time, or occasionally off property during travel or outside the summer pool season. The House Boy is expected to complete the assigned number of laps, unless a physical condition or some other factor reasonably prevents completion of the exercise. During this time the House Boy is not permitted to freestyle swim, play, dive, jump, wrestle, horse around, participate in pool sports, or engage in any other activity except while waiting for the pool to become available for swimming laps or when given specific permission to do so..
Master will attempt to schedule Lap Swimming sessions far enough in advance that the times can be posted in the House Boy’s schedule of duties & chores so that guests may check to see if the pool will be available for Recreational Swimming. Visitors who wish to do so are permitted to observe from poolside or participate in Lap Swimming with the House Boy. For safety reasons, if two House Boys are concurrently in service they will be assigned Lap Swimming together whenever possible.
Lap Swimming will not be scheduled for event days like pool parties or barbeques where the House Boy is serving refreshments or attending the activity as a guest, unless Lap Swimming is actually added to the event schedule. As always, the House Boy is required to take a proper outdoor shower before and after using the pool, and is still subject to physical Inspections, Spot Cleaning (See below, Rule #57), or discipline for failure to follow protocol. For safety reasons, special protocol applies to Spankings Earned while Swimming (See below, Rule #274).
Lap Swimming is a scheduled activity to be carried out at the assigned days and times, regardless of who may be present and could observe. The House Boy must maintain proper behavior and decorum, and speak using only Appropriate Terminology (See below, Rule #123) to avoid being disrespectful to others, including house guests and the occasional vanilla friends that Master shares the gate code with for pool access at their leisure. The House Boy is responsible for maintenance of Pool And Gate Signage (Rule #228) which serve as a passive reminder to visitors that the House Boy is not permitted to wear clothing in the pool area. Jewelry and Accessories (Rule #183) may be safely worn during swimming activities. When Lap Swimming is assigned off property at a pool location where nudity is prohibited, the House Boy shall wear only Minimal Clothing in the form of a speedo or underwear at Master’s discretion, unless local rules require otherwise.
Master has the right to schedule other duties and chores for poolside either before or after the House Boy’s required Lap Swimming. These may include conventional or other water exercises, miscellaneous other chores, or his usual daytime nap which may be time shifted for Master’s convenience. The House Boy may not use the presence of others or an unexpected change of plans as an excuse to delay or avoid any duty or chore, regardless of who may be present and could observe. As with all pool activities, the House Boy shall sufficiently dry off before going indoors to avoid water damage to Master’s home and valuables.
Master acknowledges that some House Boys are self conscious about the reduction in size of certain body parts during and after swimming activities, and Master will not initiate discussion about this subject in front of guests near the pool area. Likewise, the House Boy must respect that visitors and guests have Freedom of Speech and retain The Basic Right To Observe And Comment (See below, Rule #191) and that neither the House Boy nor Master has any authority to restrict or prevent these types of discussions among themselves. As always, any act of disrespect by the House Boy towards a guest will result in discipline.
